Start of studies in Athletic Training, California: "something with people and sports, but not traditional sports medicine and in a warm place."

Dropped out of Athletic Training, decided to study osteopathy: "Gut feeling." Of course, the limited career prospects in Athletic Training in Switzerland at the time played into my cards.

Start of osteopathy studies, Lausanne: "gut decision", even if the mind said "no 10 horses will make me study in French".

Opening of private practice in Zurich: "I don't know anyone, but it will be fine", two-month employment as cashier in a delicatessen to bridge the gap.

Traffic accident with a lot of luck and near-death moment: "let's see what happens now". And then take a close look to see if my personal setup is still right.

Selling my osteopathic practice plus personal belongings with sabbatical and attempting a complete restart in California: "If I hold on to a Plan B (my practice in CH ), I don't trust that Plan A will work."

Return to Switzerland with employment as an osteopath and shortly thereafter renewed self-employment in own practice (until 2022): "As long as I go to work with joy, I'm on the right track."

Solo Atlantic crossing in a rowboat: "Gut decision, I don't have to do it, I don't feel pressured to do it, I'm just doing it"

Professional "long-term absence" due to delay in healing process after surgery (March - Dec.) "This gives a lot of room for inner processes again."
